Once it’s defeated in its Ultra Form, you’ll need to climb Mount Lanakila toward the League where Necrozma will be waiting, hurt. You’ll need to defeat Necrozma a couple of times during the story of Ultra Sun and Moon but it’s not until you defeat it in its Ultra Form that you’ll finally be able to capture it. You don't need to battle it, it will join you automatically. Then, go to the Lake of the Sunne or Lake of the Moone from Ula'ula Meadow and reach the altar, with Solgaleo/Lunala still in your party.
